Cheating Master Minds
What's that you say? You never heard of a cheating mastermind? They have a show on TV known as Masterminds. The funny thing is, all the masterminds end up in jail, no matter what venue they try scamming or cheating.
Luckily we have the high stakes poker community, the most honest people in the world. The world of high stakes poker is so pure, not one high stakes poker cheat has ever been caught cheating. I don't know why we deal with people outside this venue, when the world of poker is filled with Saints?
However, there may be another way of looking at this. Perhaps the world of high stakes poker is filled with cheating masterminds? In all reality, cheating in poker doesn't send you to jail, it gets you barred from one casino. Small cheats are caught, then barred. Quite a penalty, steal. several thousand and get barred from a casino. Where can I sign up for this?
With the thousand of casino's and poker rooms in the world, even $1,000 from a 1000 casino's would equal $1,000,000. Look at the downside, you'd be barred from those casino's. However, look at the upside, you'd have $1,000,000 and the whole of online poker to look forward to.
In poker, it's not even illegal to cheat, provided you do it in tactful ways. You can cheat or steal a $1,000,000 or more from a sucker who plays you in a casino with the help of a casino employee and nothing will happen. Do you think the casino wants the bad publicity, let alone the lawsuit that follows should this be the case?
Damage control by casino security will neutralize any case you can make.
An example of this is the following. Recently, Steve Forte, gambling expert for MSNBC, numerous Las Vegas casino's and a member of a board looking into cheating in poker was caught and arrested for cheating in poker with electronic equipment at the Borgata Casino in New Jersey. Funny thing, though it made the papers and all the TV stations, not one word has been heard since.
A Cheating Mastermind is someone who hasn't been caught nor served time in jail. How good could a mastermind who ends up in jail be?
